| Sunil elected as Chairman of Poonch Municipality | | |  Early Times Report
Poonch, 26 Oct: Today ten councillors elected form different wards in the recently held municipal elections Poonch unanimously elected Advocate Sunil Sharma as Chairman of Poonch Municipal Council. Councillors bestowed their full trust in the leadership qualities of Adv. Sunil Sharma and resolved that they are committed to work in the direction of maintaining amicable relationships between different communities, for which the Poonch, City of Saints is popularly known, besides implementation of various schemes and subjects enshrined under different legislations for the beautification and all round development of the town. The newly elected council is committed to usher a new era of development under the stewardship of Advocate Sunil Sharma.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sunil Sharma is a practicing advocate in the District & Sessions Court, Poonch from the last 25 years and had been vocal in addressing the grievances of the marginalised section of the society since the day he first stepped into this profession. While speaking on the occasion Adv. Sunil Sharma thanked all the councillors and the general populace of the town for reposing trust in him and assured them that he will work up to his full strength and in good faith since he believes in the dictum that voice of people is the voice of God. |
