10/26/2018 10:13:06 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 26: Furious over the atrocious attitude of State Commercial Taxes Department Officials, the business community under the banner of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market (TFWHNM) Jammu has warned the State Govt. of serious consequences in case the authorities of CT department would not mend its ways.
Protesting strongly over the attitude of CT department officials, the Federation has threatened to come on roads in case the govt. fails to check the malicious attitude of the concerned authorities. The Working Committee and Executive Body meeting of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market (Regd.) Jammu was held on Friday under the chairmanship of President Rattan Lal Mahajan to discuss the prevailing situation. While launching a scathing attack on the authorities, the Federation President Sh. Rattan Lal Mahajan lambasted state govt. for not tightening the noose of CT department officials who are creating hurdles in their trading activities least caring about the losses being incurred to them in this peak hours of Festive season.
General Secretary of the Federation Deepak Gupta alleged that CT deptt. Officials are hell bent to damage their business interests during peak festive season by putting Nakas at Various places enroute from Lakhanpur to Jammu and harrasing to the members of trading commutity by resorting to undue checking of their vehicles carring goods from Lakhanpur to Jammu. He termed this whole process as useless because whatsover material they are bringing from Lakhanpur, has already benn checked by the CT department at Lakhanpur and they fulfilled all the formalities by submitting GST through e-way bill.
Hence their is no need to further check their vehicles by the authorities. By doing so they are just resorting to harrasment of the traders. He expressed concern over the behavior of CT deptt. Officials who instead of providing a feasible atmosphere during the festive season, has resorted to undue interference in thier working, posing serious blow to their business which is already in doledrums due to instability in the National and International Markets.
General Secretary has assailed the CT department officials for creating nuisance in the working of trading community in Jammu who are earlier under hard pressed conditions due to last year Notebandi and Implementation of GST. He said the Traders last year during this festive season have suffered heavy losses. Now this time they were expecting for good business turnover but the way the officials are treating with the members of Trading Community, there is no doubt that this time too they have to undergo the same fate as was in last year. General Secretary appeals the Honb'le Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik to kindly come farword to rescue the trading community of Jammu.
The Meeting was also attended by Sr. Vc. President of Federation Dheeraj Mahajan, Jr. Vc. President Munish Mahajan, Secretary Abhimanyu Gupta and Cashier Vishal Gupta.
