Jammu, Oct 26: Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore Bridge, National Highway, Distt. Samba inaugurated UN Week by holding an Inter- House competition "Building Bridges".
The program started with the introduction to United Nations and UN Day by School Prefects Apoorvi Gupta and Janvi Sharma of class VIII. They made the students aware about the working of UN and significance of UN Week.
The Four Houses showcased four UN members i.e South Korea , New Zealand, France and Australia.
The teams showed the various aspects of the country covering the flag, language, Anthem, Emblem, Dance, Currency, National Sports of the country. The competition was attended by the Principal and Coordinator of the school.
Leonardo Da Vinci House emerged as winner while Mahatma Gandhi House and Albert Einstein House were first runner up and second runner up respectively.
The Principal Rahul Kapoor in his address to the students commended the students are to be involved in such various activities time to time which are educational & informative through which a child will learn beyond the domain of classroom |
