Udhampur, Oct 26: Cultural Club/Committee of Govt. College for Women Udhampur organized a Mehandi competition in the college premises whereby almost twenty contestants took part in the said competition with full enthusiasm in order to display their artistic skills. The programme formally began with the welcome address by Prof. Sarita Dogra, department of Education, GCW Udhampur. Prof. Ashni Devi, Prof. Neetu Raina and Dr. Usha Sharma were amongst the jury members. The participants were adjudged by the jury, critically, to best of their talents. Ms. Renu of semester III bagged first prize and Sheetal Sharma of semester III stood second whereas Alisha Shah of semester III got third prize. It was observed that such sort of co-curricular activities should be organized with time so as to inculcate and enhance the cultural, aesthetic and artistic skills amongst the students. The function ended up with the vote of thanks by Prof. Roopa Kumari, department of Education, GCW Udhampur. |
