Early Times Report

KUPWARA, Nov 2: Soon after the audio message of MLA Kupwara and a BDO went viral on social media, the district administration issued a transfer order of BDOs and suspension order of the said BDO in a single day.
While the transfer order of BDOs was uploaded on a Facebook page of Sajjad Gani Lone, simultaneously the transfer order of the BDO in question was uploaded on the page of MLA Kupwara.
Earlier, office of the Deputy District Development Commissioner Kupwara issued an order of transfer and posting of Block Development Officer/I/C Block Development Officers of RDD Department Kupwara.
The order vide dispatch no: DCK/PS/2018/(03)/1950-57 dated 01-11-2018 said: Abdul Ahad Wani, I/c BDO Keran shall look after the work of block Hurri Qadirabad and Trehgam in addition to his own duties; Nagina Parveen, I/c BDO Natnussa shall look after the work of block Drugmulla in addition to her own duties; Hanifa Begum is transferred and posted in block Langate; and Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh is transferred and posted in block Mawar (Qalamabad).
Interestingly, another order was issued by the office of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, vide dispatch no: DCK/PS/2018/ (03) 1966-69 dated 01/11/2018.
The order said that pending enquiry into his conduct, Ab Majeed Ganie, Block Development Officer Hirri Qadirabad is hereby placed suspension with immediate effect and attached with this office.
Meanwhile the transfer order of BDOs was uploaded on Facebook page of former minister in the PDP-BJP government and PC Chairman, Sajjad Gani Lone.
Finally justice prevailed. Thanks to Governor Administration for prompt action against corrupt BDO Qadirabad (Kupwara).
While as the suspension order of BDO was seen uploaded on PC Kupwara with a line: BDO Trehgam (Qadirbad) suspended with immediate effect.
However sources privy to the development said the transfer and postings of BDOs and suspension order of the BDO Qadirabad was issued on the same day and date from the office of Deputy Commissioner Office Kupwara. One fails to understand how a transfer and postings of officer or officers/officials can be made when Model Code of Conduct is in progress, said sources. They said the people of this frontier district believe that Kupwara has not seen any kind of development in terms of roads, power, drinking water, education, health and sanitation from past couple of years, and one believes that huge amounts that were allocated by the Centre were not utilized properly.
