MMI Preschool Jammu celebrates 1st Annual Day

JAMMU, Nov 3: Modern Montessori International (MMI) Preschool, Jammu celebrated its first annual day with great zeal and enthusiasm Teachers Bhawan, auditorium. Devender Singh Rana, MLA Nagrota, was the chief guest while former Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi, was the guest of honour. They together inaugurated the function by lighting ceremonial lamp. They were escorted by Principal of the school and other dignitaries. The function started with dance performance by the students on Ganesh Vandana. The theme of the function was a story titled 'The Little Red Hen', which was an enactment of the idea to make children understand the joy of sharing with each other. The song 'Happy Days' presented by the toddlers left everyone spellbound while the 'Rock and Roll' performance by pre-nursery and play group students made everyone rock and roll on the occasion. 'Come on Barbie…' was another energetic performance by Pre Nursery and Nursery students. This was followed by 'Sun and the Planets' performed by Pre Nursery students. While speaking on the occasion, Devender Singh Rana said that he is astonished to see such brilliant performances by these little ones, who even cannot speak properly.
He said their performances itself speaks how much efforts their teachers and parents has done to prepare them and instill confidence in them.
Priya Sethi, in her address, appreciated the management of the school, stating that they are doing lot of efforts for the overall development of the kids, who are future of our country. She said that school has done a lot of progress in last one year and hardworking staff of the school is laying a strong foundation for future growth of kids.
Earlier, Coordinator of the School, Monica Seghal, presented welcome address while Principal, Pragya Gupta, presented annual report of the past academic session. She also read out both academic and co-curricular achievements of the school.
The function concluded with distribution of prizes among the kids by the chief guest and guest of honour.
Among other dignitaries present in the function were promoters of the school, Kamal Rohmetra and Neeraj Rohmetra, Bhavana Rohmetra, Sapna Rohmetra (Directors of the School) and Principal, MMI Gurugram, Nita Datta.
