JP World School holds Sahodaya Inter-School English Debate Competition

JAMMU, Nov 3: An Inter-School English Debate Competition was organized by J.P World School under the tutelage of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex for the middle standard students.
The participants debated over a very contemporary and burning topic "Article 35-A is against the spirit of 'One India'".
The participants from various schools of Jammu fought each other head to head with words and reasons in the debate competition. The participating teams engaged in an impressive exchange of words and reasons where they not only defended but also argued against the motion.
The chief guest of the event was Captain A. Muthuraman, Principal, Sainik School, Nagrota while Prof. Shalini Rana, Prof. Kiran Pathania and Prof. Akanksha Parihar (Deptt. Of English, G.G.M Science College, Jammu) formed the jury. The special guest for the event was Jagdish Dhami(Principal, Heritage School, Jammu and President, Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex)
Athrav Dabgotra of Heritage School who contended for the motion emerged as the first winner whereas, Shivesh Dhar of Army Public School, BD Bari and Karmanya Wahi of Jodhamal School were adjudged the second and third winners respectively.
The consolation prize was given away to Vianca of Army Public School, Kaluchak. All the participants put forth their views and arguments skillfully and convincingly.
The chief guest presented the trophies and certificates of merit to the winners for showcasing outstanding performance and exhorted that knowledge and communication skills are the most powerful ingredients needed to excel in the present competitive scenario.
J.S Hundal, Principal, J.P World School proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the winners. He also appreciated the endeavours of the organising members and staff for their support and co-operation.
