11/3/2018 10:35:32 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 3: Condemning the barbaric act of killings of Parihar brothers at Kishtwar, the former union Minister, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta stressed the need that sad incident should be taken with all the seriousness and stern measures be taken to check the re-emergence of the terrorist activities of the enemy sponsored zealots and traders of the human blood. In a statement Prof. Gupta said that the sensitive areas of the Doda-Kishtwar had been on the hit list of the Pak-sponsored ultras and radicals from the very beginning of the eruption of bloodshed aimed at creation of communal divide forcing the migration of minorities after doing so in the Valley of Kashmir. He recalled that under what circumstances in 1994 the BJP had a satyagrah movement titled Doda Bachao (Save Doda) to focus the attention of all the concerned towards serious situation that was being developed after forcing out the minorities from the Valley of Kashmir. The District President of the BJP Santosh Thakur, Advocate was shot dead in broad day light at Doda itself and other leading activists including Swami Raj Kattal, Rochar Kumar, Satish Bhandari were gunned down at Bhaderwah, Kishtwar and others were murdered to create fear and terror. Not only this, the massacres were engineered at Sarthal Road, Thathri and Pachnadi as also at other places, Prof. Gupta added and remembered Subedar Surjit Singh for initiating the formation of village Defence Committees to check the terrorist attacks and the horrible situation being created to force the migration. He said that after the change of guard at New Delhi, the NDA regime led by Vajpayee had initiated several measures to strengthen security grid in Doda and other militancy infected areas.
He regretted that over the years the security grid was weakened and VDC's were discourged as some dubious characters from with in and outside the dispensation of the State did not like the strengthening the forces of unity and integration. Expressing concern over the mysterious immigration of the foreigners including that of Roghingyas, Bangla Deshi's, Pakistani's and others and the mysterious marriage of the these foreign ladies with locals, he said that this was a serious development which needed a deep look to know who are elements behind all this game. There was report that over dozen of such foreign girls have married in Kishtwar areas alone.
