CEO Rajouri withholds salaries of 31 absentee teachers

RAJOURI, Nov 3: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri vide his office order No CEOR/27540-45 dated 2/11/2018 has directed Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) for Rajouri , Moughla and Khawas to withheld the salaries of 31 government teachers who failed to join/remained absent during training scheduled for five days from November 1.
On 24 October, CEO Rajouri, Ch Lal Hussain had announced training for those teachers/ masters who were teaching classes from 6th to 8th standard.
The training was scheduled to be held at boys higher secondary schools (HSS) at Rajouri, Khawas and Moughla.
On Friday, Ch Lal Hussian, CEO paid surprise visit to boys HSS at Rajouri and found that 14 teachers/masters either were absent from the training or had not joined the training on that day.
Out of 31 teachers/ masters whose explanations have been sought five were found absent while remaining had not joined the training.
CEO also received similar reports from Moughla and Khawas education zones where 4 and 13 teachers/masters respectively had not joined the training on Friday.
Annoyed over the callous and indifferent attitude of 31 teachers/masters, CEO had issued direction to withheld their salaries and seek explanations.
CEO said these teachers warrants strict disciplinary action for their non-seriousness towards training.
He directed the concerned ZEOs to seek explanations from these teachers and furnish their replies to his office for further appropriate action.
