JAMMU, Dec 8: Evenas the 2013-2014 batch of KAS officers got the selection grade, the same was denied to JKPS officers of 2008 batch.
An JKPS officer wishing not to be named questioned what he called dichotomy of the authority.
According to him, the JKPS officers perform more duty than the KAS officers and risk their lives day in and day out while fighting militancy.
He said the JKPS officers have not formed any association as they belong to a disciplined force. "However, the authorities must take into consideration the difficulties they face while discharging their duties," he said.
He urged the Governor, Advisor, Home Secretary and DGP to look into the issue on priority and restore parity in the interest of the force. |
