Jammu Sanskriti School excels in 17th State Matsogi -Do Championship

JAMMU, Dec 8: Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu excelled in recently concluded 17th State Matsogi-Do Championship - 2018 held at Jammu University.
Around 700 participants from various districts participated in the tournament. Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu participants performed wonderfully by imbibing themselves in the competition that resulted in 4 Gold Medals bagged by Sumit Kumar (Under-14), Shalvi Saini (U-19), Abhiraj Bhart (U-19) and Vikas Bhagat (U-19) and 3 Silver Medals bagged by Aditya Kaith (U-14), Aman Saini (U-14) & Amit Jamwal (U-19) whereas Nikhil Saini (U-19) bagged Bronze medal i.e., Sanskritians received 8 medals in total. Performance of all 16 participants was appreciable. But it is pertinent to mention here that Vikas Bhagat (under-19) was only the Sanskritian who along with Gold medal, also bagged Black Belt.
The tournament became more exciting and interesting because of the presence of Choudhary Lal Singh, Former Minister for Forest, Environment, and Ecology of J&K. He said that such events should be organized every year to promote Sports among youth of today's generation and he conveyed his wishes to all the participants.
Principal cum Vice-Chairperson Rohini Aima congratulated and applauded all the participants and their mentor Jagpreet Kour for her sincere efforts and asserted that the ultimate victory in competition is derived from the inner satisfaction of knowing that you have done your best and that you have gotten the most out of what you had to give. So, work hard, give your best and always believe in yourself.
