Ultimately 'Kattapa' prevailed over 'Bahubali'
12/12/2018 8:26:06 PM
Mahadeep Singh Jamwal

The fate of Bahubali in the present script, dedicated to the election results of five states, is a bit different than the fate of Bahubali in blockbuster movie "Bahubali", where Kattappa as a loyal army chief stabbed Bahubali emperor of Mahishmati kingdom. In the concluded state elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, Rahul Gandhi as a loyal Congress President in the role as Kattapa delivered sorrow and dents on the so created invincible image of duo, Modi and Shah, assuming the status of Bahubali on musical chairs. I am constrained to mention here that the essence of my articles 'Modi charisma growing dimmer day-to-day', 'Expansion - a flimflam of BJP' and 'Fracas of exit polls - Alarming bells for BJP' accommodated by print media as editorials from time to time, ultimately proved to be scientific and legitimate analysis. Ultimately election results of these states that are going to implant meaningful prints in 2019 elections have served the soup of 'Bitter Gourd' to BJP whereas it was expecting soup that of 'Litchi Fruit', but that trickled into the cup of Congress. The BJP has option to describe its present fall out with a soothing confidence that there are different narrations in state elections and national elections and both have different issues. But when we turn the pages of claims of flagship schemes of Modi led BJP government in key areas such as: Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kasushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) doled out by Modi regime with assurance of its reach to the last man in the line, also apply to all the five states that went into election and BJP failed to win even a single one, strengthen us to easily jump to the conclusion that all such schemes are best painted on papers than their benefits on the ground. There is another message handed down by these states that voters cannot be carried away on the strength of fake commitments, false promises, created silhouettes of development and uplift of common man, 24X7X365 propaganda of its expansion through biased media and much shouting of its spokesperson in debates. The whirl wind election rallies by charismatic Modi jee, Amit Shah and fire brand Yogi jee in all these states failed to impact the people in the states of Rajasthan that has literacy of 61.44%, the MP that has literacy of 69.32 percent and Chhattisgarh having 70.28 % literacy rate as per 2011 census. The main line followed was of 'Jhuth Bolo - Zor Se Bolo - Baar Baar Bolo' so that people start believing a silhouette to be real figure and this line has been badly tagged by the Congress in these three states. The religious cards of 'Janaeu', 'Gotra' and 'Hanuman caste' highly practiced by BJP turned out to be blank card. The inclusive growth as the 'rashtraniti' and safety and prosperity of India the "rajdharma" just an idiom of the BJP was hardly accepted by the people of five states taking it also as a 'Jumla' of the BJP. The all time slogan of Modi je to make India Congress free was a reflection of his monarchial approach than a reflection of a leader of a democratic country. When we focus on the results of all these three states, the three factors that BJP always focus of its acceptance by one and all i.e. 'Niti', 'Niyat' and ' Neta' proved to be like castles in the air. Among too many factors that brought 'honorable defeat' to BJP, the over confidence, arrogance, self praise, all time degrading others, all time making mockery of the Congress President, descended like bolt from the blue. These issues synchronized with flop show of main commitments like relief to farmers, employment, and black money. The young minds like Sachin Pilot in Madhya Pradesh and Jyotiraditya Scindia in Rajasthan and of course Rahul Gandhi, proved to be more influencing than many heavy weights like Modi, PM of India, Amit Shah, Party president of BJP, Yogi Adityanath, CM of Uttar Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan (outgoing CM of MP), Raman Singh (outgoing CM) of Chhattisgarg and Vasundhara Raje Scindia (outgoing CM) of Rajasthan. The ideology of the Congress party in these states gave crushing defeat to a party that was all in power in all these states as well as in the centre. The policies and politics of the BJP stand rejected by the voters of these states. At the same time BJP failed to register its show in Telangana as well as in Mizoram and collectively these are the alarming bells for the BJP in coming 2019 as the party is continuously in losing race in by Lok Sabha elections since the first such by poll held in Medak (Telangana) in September 2014, after Modi took over as PM of the country till the last three by poll in Lok Sabha held in November 2018 in Karnataka losing two seats. In a spree BJP just managed to win five by poll Lok Sabha seats of the 26 that went to by polls during Modi regime.
The major outcome of these election results for the coming 2019 elections will surface as coming close of all the parties to form a substantial alliance to give a last hit to the crumbling BJP. Apart from failures of its policies, the hostile attitude of VHP and RSS on the issue of 'Ram Temple' will act as catalyst towards hasty alienation of BJP from the voter's consideration. Let us flash back to the words of Modi jee before 2014 that country needs a 'dream team' over 'dirty team' (referred to UPA) and asked people to choose a government and a leader who has a vision (the leader in reference was Modi jee himself as nominated PM candidate by BJP - hence asking for visionary leader tantamount to self praise no recommendation) for the future. The people blindly voted to the words of Modi jee but same people in these three states have badly rejected of the same person.
Overall emerging scenario in the BJP is not a healthy sign for 2019 elections and it has to introspect regarding the bad situation it faced in all the five states and especially its performance in much important states like MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The ouster of its much heavy weight CMs Smt. Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Raman Singh from active politics in three states, the will of Smt. Sushma swaraj to withdraw from active politics, Manohar Parikar not available in Goa, and many more proving as turncoat and joining Congress and above all its many coalition partner of 2014 like Chanderbabu Naidu and Shiv Sena not on platter of BJP is going to prove disaster for the BJP in 2019. The chances nowhere exist now before 2019 as to appease the voters of particular states during their election by offering packages like auctioning as seen during Bihar elections. The left over period is not sufficient to bring in major changes in its policies towards the common man as to influence the voters to cast their vote in BJPs kitty. The PM is much seen at the common corners of streets across the nation as a flying PM and as an Election PM of India, much busy in projecting himself as tallest leader of the world and always carrying the concern of winning the elections. The much propaganda of India doing well on foreign soil, increasing the possibilities of bringing business in India (raising the ease of doing business rating) all are the concerns of business houses to expand their business but at the required level of common man these carry no means as their daily living cost has increased many fold during Modi regime and above all it has downgraded the rating of the democracy index from 27th in 2014 to 42nd in 2018, a biggest shame for the country that claim its democracy above all the democratic nations.
Concluding we can sum up the conclusion of election results as defeat of BJP owing to propagation of lucrative schemes practically failing to uplift the common man, failure to solace the farmers condition and various announcements as of MSP and doubling the farmers income proved to be just lolly pop and nothing more than that, the GST and demonetization that has broken the backbone of petty shopkeepers and has badly hit the employment sector in private concerns. The arrogance of one and all trickling from PM to ground worker, criminalization of politics by sheltering hard core facing charges of murder, rape, attempt to murder, kidnapping by inducting them as ministers in central government, loot of public exchequer for joy rides, on advertisements to project the BJP and its faces. The balloon now stand blasted and its tremors will be seen in 2019 also.
