State cadre looking towards Modi's charisma
12/12/2018 10:59:13 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 12: The defeat of BJP in three states of MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh while has boosted the morale of Congress activists in J&K has sent shivers in BJP circles across the State.
The BJP leaders who are gearing up for Assembly elections to be announced any time now are totally perturbed seeing the comeback of Congress in Hindu heartland of M P and Chhattisgarh were party is bracing for power after 15 years now.
According to sources BJP in Jammu is already under sharp criticism for its dismal performance during three years of alliance Government with PDP as party leaders in Government failed to push up the development process in the State.
Instead of doing anything on ground its ministers were marred by various controversies including ignoring their own part activists and common masses.
The people who expected a change with transfer of power to a new combination in the State were astonished when they found that BJP's performance was not up to mark and party is acting as B team of Congress, sources added.
Sources said instead of addressing problems of people creating job avenues and concentrating on development BJP ministers in Mehbooba Government looked towards Modi and Amit Shah to make another charisma for them so they did not bother to mitigate the sufferings of masses especially the casual laborers, daily wagers, contractual workers, unemployed youth, farmers, multipurpose health and Anganwari workers, contractual lecturers etc.
Its failure to convert the casual and work charge workers in various departments into regular cadre has been another failure of BJP in winning the support of the people.
Sources said the demoralised State leadership of BJP is now in a dilemma is it is facing an emboldened opposition Congress and its erstwhile ally in the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Having lost their public base BJP leadership is looking towards Modi Mantra for face saving now.
