State Govt has humiliated the family of martyr Imran Tak: Harsh
12/20/2018 10:10:41 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: While hailing the Governor for his statement made in a function organized by Sainik Welfare Board in Abhinav Theatre yesterday, calling for giving all moral and material support to families of martyrs, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman apprised him of the failure of his govt in fulfilling its obligations towards the family of Sub Inspector Imran Tak of Basantgarh who was martyred in November 2017 while fighting armed militants.
He regretted that not only were the dues of the valiant Soldier's family unpaid till date but the SRO-43 case of the family had also been kept pending for the last one year leading to untold hardships for the family. Likewise, he regretted non fulfilment of the announcement made by the top civil and police administration for conferment of 'Shaurya Chakra' Award on the brave-heart Imran Tak posthumously. He said that martyrs and their families deserved honour not only in letter but in spirit as well.
Strongly admonishing the state govt for being abominably callous towards the state martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, he urged upon the Governor to settle all claims and dues of all families of brave-hearts who made the supreme sacrifices for the nation and its flag. He regretted that while the erstwhile PDP-BJP govt lavishedly doled incentives and Jobs to the surrendered militants, dependants of deceased anti nationals and subversives in the valley, the NOKs of the slain soldiers received the most contemptuous and abominable treatment at the hands of the rulers.
He rued that it was sheer irony that the traitors were enjoying all luxuries in Kashmir but the tall pronouncements of Union Home Minister Raj Nath Singh to provide ex-gratia worth rupees one crore to the NOKs of martyrs failed to turn into reality in J&K. He further called for immediate honouring the assurance given by the Govt at the relevant point of time for gallantry award in favour of the martyrd Soldier Imran Tak. He further called for immediate settlement of SRO-43 case of Muzzaffar Tak, the brother of Imran Tak whose file was made to shuttle form one office to the other during the past one year causing huge embarrassment and humiliation to the bereaved family.
Recalling the Supreme sacrifice of Martyr Imran Tak, he said that the national hero had provided the highest example of bravery by taking on the armed mercenaries singlehandedly and eliminating one of the Pak sponsored militants and injuring another despite being fatally wounded. He said that the daring Sub Inspector who was known for his valour and courage had taken part in several operations and was a terror for the anti national forces operating in the valley. He was a youth icon and an example for the younger generations to emulate but sadly ignored by the Govt.
