Despite 12 year stay, influential PHE SO defies transfer 12/20/2018 10:55:11 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 20: An influential Statistical Officer working in a Public Health Engineering Office Jammu has been continuously defying his transfer order even after 12 years long stay at one place and reluctant to relieve his position for the new officer. Sources told Early Times that the decade long stay of the officer on a particular position at one place has raised the eyebrows of many in the department as the officer has very strong connections in higher-ups due to which he remained untouched from transfer. "The officer is notorious for his misdeeds in the department and it is alleged that he keeps his bosses including top bureaucrats and politicians in good humor by giving them big share of the corruption and embezzlement," they informed further adding that nearly six months ago governor had issued an order of detachment of government employees on immediate effect and in this connection, planning department had issued an order of transfer of this Statistical Officer who has been staying at one place for long time and sent another officer on his place but the officer didn't relieve his position resulting the new officer remained without charge for many months. They further said that despite many complaints by the newly posted officer to his head office, no action was taken against the adamant officer, who was fearlessly working on his position. If sources are to be believed even the senior officers in the department tries to avoid any confrontation with him because of his strong links in power corridor. Officer in the department, preferring anonymity said that such kind of defiance of transfer order by the an officer has been creating bad impression in the department resulting many other officers are also following this precedence which has vitiated the free working atmosphere in the office and government should take concrete action against such kind of officers who always keep government order at their beck and call.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
