Irony! Those who didn't spare even peons, spent lakhs on toilet seats stage protest against Rafale deal
12/20/2018 11:16:37 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: Over a dozen former ministers of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee joined by Sanjay Sinha, AICC member and Rajya Sabha, MP staged a protest here over the issue of Rafale deal.
But the same former ministers were themselves facing charges of corruption and nepotism. Some of the Congress leaders, who were holding protest on Rafale issue, were booked by the State Accountability Commission (SAC) on corruption charges while some others were facing allegations of encroaching state as well as forest land in different parts of the state.
"The ones who were protesting in Jammu streets today are the same people who spent lakhs of rupees just on toilet seats when they were in power. They didn't even spare peons, even the class-IV employees were asked to grease the palms and if they wanted to get any of their grievance redressed," said an analyst.
He said, "Congress leaders protesting against Rafale deal is a big joke," he added.
Interestingly Apex Court of the country has given clean chit to Prime Minister Narinder Modi in Rafale case, 'corrupt' Congress leaders were terming this deal as biggest scam in the country.
Shockingly most of the former Congress ministers, who were holding protest today, were themselves facing serious charges of financial and moral corruption.
