JAMMU, Dec 20: Principal Sessions Judge Rajouri Shahzad Azeem today rejected the bail applications of Mehtab Ahmed S/O Farooq Ahmed Khan, R/O W. No. 09, Rajouri Tehsil & Distt. Rajouri, Mohd Aurangzeb S/O Shaiq Khan, R/O Rajdhani, Tehsil Manjakote, Distt. Rajouri and Mohd Yaseen S/O Mohd Hussain, R/O Kakora, Tehsil Manjakote, District Rajouri alleged charas smugglers.
According to the police case that that on, 26.10.2018, when police party was on Naka duty at Patrara National Highway, they signaled vehicle bearing registration No. JK11B/7124 coming from Manjakote towards BG, but same was stopped before Naka and occupant tried to escape from the spot, however, they were nabbed by the police party.
On questioning it was found that all the applicants under the common criminal intention were not only using the narcotics but also selling the same to the innocent youth, thereby destroying the young generation.
Court after hearing both the sides observed that menace of drug trafficking has drastically shoot up, elsewhere in the country but specially in the State of Jammu & Kashmir for the last two and half decades and has swollen in its venomous ambit , the young generation of the nation and also seriously had effected the economy of the country. Therefore, at this stage applicants cannot be enlarged on bail, as investigation is still in infancy. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. |
