Adbi Kunj holds composite mushaira

Jammu, Jan 3: Adbi Kunj organized a special musical literary meet cum mushaira here today in which a large number of literary luminaries participated from the different parts of the state. The function was presided over by renowned poet Prof. Surinder Singh Seerat whereas Romesh Verma retired DIG (Vigilance) was the Chief Guest of the function while three another literary personalities Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Dr. Daljit Raina and Dr. Bansi Lal were also share the presidium as a Guest of honour. Sham Talib President of the organization in his welcome address said that the objective of this organization is to promote literary activities and to encourage poet and writers of different languages. He also threw detailed light on the various ongoing activities of the organization. Aarash Dalmotra also highlighted the various incoming activities of the new year. In the first session of the function, Chaman Sagoch, Ved Uppal, Anil Kumar sang various ghazals of different poets. A composite mushaira was also held in which 25 poets recited their various Kalams. The poets who were present in the meet include Prof. Surinder Singh Seerat, Aarash Dalmotra, M.S.Wafa, Santosh Nadan, Nilam Verma, Fozia Mughal Zia, Abdul Jabbar, Bishan Dass Khak, Sarwar Chohan, K.K.Shakar, Dr. Baljit Raina, Taraq Raza, Sibtay Raza, Sanjeev Kumar, Masoom Kishtwari, Balvinder Singh, Abid Farhat, Jatinder Bassan, M.S.Kamra, Rajiv Kumar, K.R.Salgotra, Rampal Dogra, Raj Kamal, Rakesh Tripat and Sham Talib. Vote of thanks were presented by M.S.Wafa, General Secretary of Adbi Kunj. On the occasion, he also presented his latest published Urdu poetry book 'Hum-Rahrn-Na-Rahen" to Sham Talib.
