Slogan Writing Competition held

Jammu, Jan 3: In the series of programmes being organized in context of the 9th National Voters Day-2019, the District Electoral Literacy Club Jammu, under the able guidance of the District Election Officer,Jammu Ramesh Kumar(IAS) and Dy DEO, Jammu, Z.A.Banday organized Slogan Writing Competition at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Nowabad.To begin with , Prof Amit Kumar Sharma introduced the students and the staff with the importance of National Voters day and the role of Electoral Literacy Clubs in the dissemination of the awareness regarding the robust electoral process with special emphasis on the right to vote. The students and the staff took pledge to exercise the right to vote judiciously and they also recited the Chunaav Paathshala song. A total of 20 students participated in the Slogan Writing Competition and they wrote beautiful slogans on the theme 'Vote for Democracy'. A jury comprising D.S. Manhas, Nodal Officer SVEEP Jammu, Smt. Anita Zutshi, Principal GGHSS Nowabad, Dr Shandiliya Perminder Kour, DLMT adjudged the slogans of the participants. The participants whose slogans were adjudged first, second and third were awarded with the prizes. Besides, all the participants were given pens for their participation in the competition.
The other District Level Master Trainers for the District Electoral Literacy Club including Dr Avineet, Dr Ajay Singh Manhas, Smt Neeraj Jamwal, Anandha Pandita, Sh Sushil Hitashi, Dr Paramjeet Kour, Smt Sugandh, Smt Poonam Gandotra were also present on the occasion.
