Jammu, Jan 18: Vishwa Bharati Senior Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Jammu installed an idol of Goddess Saraswati in the school premises.
It was a lavish ritual affair organized by the school authorities where various dignitaries and gentries of the city participated a huge havana was organised and holy vedic mantras were chanted by the pandit along with divine offerings to Gods and Goddesses in havan kund. Devi Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom has specific importance in educational institutes as they impart education and wisdom; and heartily venerate and worship Goddess Saraswati. The School reception where the idol was established ,was sumptuously decorated with fragrant flowers and colour paper strips. All the board members of Vishwa Bharati Management committee Dr. S.K Koul Secretary Vishwa Bharati Units J&K , J. L Koul, Prof. A. N Sadhu, Dr. O.P Razdan, B. L Saraf , R.L Tickoo, Dr. R.K. Saproo and Shri. Yoginder\ Koul Rtd. IGP were present and performed the rituals related to installment of the idol. The students of the school sang sarasawti vandana in the praise of Goddess Saraswati. |
