MENDHAR, Jan 22: A Capacity Building Tour (CBT) for sixteen students, 8 boys and 8 girls, of Poonch district under Sadhbavana was flagged in at Palma by Maj Gen PS Bajwa, GOC, Romeo Force.
The eight days tour had started on 14 Jan 2019 and has visited the industrial and defence establishments in the state of Gujarat. During the course of the tour the students visited Reliance Refinery Jamnagar, IIM, Ahmedabad, Statue of Unity, Gandhi Ashram, Laxmi Vilas Palace (Museum) Vadodara, Khijadia Bird Sanctuary and Army establishment in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Jamnagar. The students were also taken to places of tourist interest to showcase the rich cultural heritage of our country and witness the development taking place in other parts of the nation.
During their visit the participants had the honour to interact with Governor of Gujarat Om Prakash Kohli and Senior Army Officers. The tour has surely motivated the students to excel in life through hard work in their studies and educated them about the avenues and opportunities available to them. While having visited the premium industries like Reliance Refinery and most sought after institute IIM-Ahmedabad a spark has ignited in these budding youngsters to dream big and strive hard to achieve them. Army is involved in conducting activities focusing on youth empowerment as it believes that youth is future of the nation. |
