Jammu, Jan 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has allegedly failed to take clearance from Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) Board for JKCET 2019 (Engineering Exam) resulting the aspirants have to suffer as date of engineering exam of JKCET 2019 i.e 21-04-2019 is clashing with National Level exam of National Defence Academy (NDA).
According to reports, the exam for officer in Indian Army is being conducted by Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) and decades ago, dates for NDA exam was set as April 21.
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has seek clearance from various agencies involved in conducting of examination but failed to take clearance from UPSC Board resulting aspirants who opted for both Engineering exam and NDA exam have to face problem due to clash of dates.
If sources are to be believed, officials in BOPEE have deliberately ignored seeking clearance from UPSC Board for putting Jammu based aspirants into trouble as most of the Jammu based aspirants have opted for both NDA and engineering exams and there are very few candidates who have opted for both NDA and Engineering exam from valley.
A delegation of students today also visited office of the Controller of Examination, BOPEE and apprised the controller about clash of the dates but he put ball in the courtyard of Chairman.
Talking to early times, suffering aspirants said that if the authorities failed to change the date of JKCET -19 engineering exam, they would launch agitation against the BOPEE authorities within days.
