JAMMU, Jan 22: A Village Defence committee (VDC) member appointed as Special Police Officer (SPO) was found dead under mysterious circumstances behind RS Farm at Thandi Khui. Police spokesman said that today at about 1700 hrs one body was recovered behind RS Farm Thandi Khui. The deceased has been identified as Ashwani Kumar Sharma (35) also VDC SPO son of Rattan Lal of Jakh Chhanni (Vijaypur). Police sources said that family members of deceased said that Ashwani was left his home since yesterday evening and was found dead today. Police sources further said that after getting the information by some locals, Vijaypur police reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary hospital and registered the case for further investigation. |
