Verbal warnings not enough, India needs to act sternly
Pak bosses talking to their stooges directly
2/3/2019 11:54:44 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 3: After calling Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has reportedly spoken to Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani over phone.
According to the media report Qureshi and Geelani had an "in-depth discussion" over situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The conversation comes four days after Qureshi spoke to Mirwaiz.
It's in place to mention here that India had taken a strong note of Qureshi calling up Mirwaiz and had summoned Pakistan's envoy over "direct interference" in India's internal affairs. "Despite India issuing a stern warning and making it clear that it can have serious ramifications Qureshi called Geelani and spoke to him," said an analyst.
He said that people sitting in national capital should come out of their closets and understand that verbal warnings won't serve any purpose. They need to act as the bosses of separatists sitting in Pakistan have started communicating with their stooges directly. "New Delhi should ask Islamabad that if any of the ministers from India start talking to Balochs and others, who are demanding a separate state, how would Pakistan react?"
The analyst said that Pakistan is testing the patience of India and if the neighboring country is allowed to carry on with its "nefarious activities" it could prove detrimental for the national interests. "Pakistan is making all the attempts to provoke India and see the irony it's blaming India for aggression," he added.
A politician said that it seems that Pakistan has forgotten the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian Army in 2016. "Pakistan needs to be taught one more lesson and this time it has to go beyond conducting surgical strikes," he added.
Pakistan Foreign Minister talking to his puppets in Kashmir is an ample proof about the neigbouring country promoting separatism and terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and is hell bent upon separating Kashmir from India. "New Delhi should take a call as Pak Foreign Minister has launched direct attack on the sovereignty of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi still has got few months for his first term to end. He should give freehand to the Army to cross the Line of Control and dismantle the terror infrastructure and the terrorist camps present in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir," said an observer.
He said that people of J&K, especially the ones living near the LoC, are fed up of the proxy war, which Pakistan has been fighting for the past thirty years. "PM Modi's one bold decision can end the miseries of the J&K people once for all," the observer added.
