3 months baby girl died due to medical negligence, allege family members

BANDIPORA, Feb 13: : A three months old baby died at Bandipora hospital while she was at the hospital for routine vaccination; however parents of the child have accused para medical staff of negligence.
Sources that the family members of the deceased child have alleged that there three months old baby, Umaiya Muzaffar D/O Muzaffar Ahmad R/O Gundpora Rampora died due to the negligence of hospital staff.
After the incident the parents told the police officials and gathering of people that were present there that their daughter was allegedly administered a vaccine in absence of doctors, sources told Early Times.
They said that, Umaiya was taken to Bandipora hospital to get routine vaccination, sources quoting the parents as having said.
"Our three months old daughter was administered vaccine in the absence of doctors by some nurse and most probably she was given poison in place of vaccine," parents said.
I believe if my daughter would have been attended by doctors instead of nurses, she would have survived, but it is all the negligence of para medical staff, due to their callous approach and laziness, we lost our child, father of the deceased child said.
Some of the relatives of the deceased baby broke the window glasses of the hospital and soon after this incident of chaos and confusion, police reached on the spot to take cognizance of the matter.
The family members have demanded the impartial probe into the matter, that how their child got died. They demanded stern punishment for the culprits involved into the death of a three year old baby girl.
Early Times tried to contact the CMO Bandipora for her comments, but her mobile number was either switched off or not reachable.
Meanwhile police has registered a case vide FIR No: 13 of 2019 u/s 304A RPC and took up the investigations into the matter.
