Law Officer trashes transfer order

JAMMU, Feb 13: Trashing with impunity the transfer order issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary and further directions for his immediate relieving, a Law officer has not bothered to comply even after lapse of around six months.
As per order no 4637-LD (ESTT) of 2018 dated 21-08-2018 issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs which is also in possession of Early Times, 25 law officers were transferred.
"The transferred officers/officials shall be deemed to have been relieved from the date of issuance of this order" further reads the order.
However, a Law officer Showkat Ahmad Mir who was posted in Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation and transferred to Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs not comply with the order issued by the Department.
Meanwhile, owing to the non- compliance of the transfer order issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Department issued another circular for the officers to comply with the directions without any further delay by 13th of September of 2018 but is could not be materialized.
As per circular issued vide order no LD (ESTT) 2018/P-BN General Administration Department (GAD) vide Circular No. 38 GAD of 2018 dated 7-09-2019 has directed officers concerned who have been transferred under different Government Orders in the recent past but have not joined their new place of postings to do so without any further delay by 13th of September of 2018 falling which action as warranted under rules will follow.
"All Additional Secretaries/Senior Law Officers/Deputy Legal Remembrancers/Public Law Officers /Assistant Legal Remembrancers are directed to comply with the Government Order No. 4637 -LD (EsTT) of 2018 dated 21-08-2018 and Government Order No. 4714-LD (EsTT) of 31-08-2018 read with circular instructions issued by the General Administration Department letter and spirit", further reads the circular.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said Law Officer namely Showkat Ahmad Mir is not complying with the transfer order issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and even showing thumb to the circular issued by the GAD against the officials for not complying with the transfer orders show the influence of the Law officer in question.
