The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh has urged the ASEAN nations and international Community to support India's fight against terrorism of peace Singh has said an environment of peace and security were needed for bilateral trade to flourish. For the ASEAN nations there is need for acknowledging the fact and ensure that the soil of any country should not be used for propagating terrorism. He appealed to the ASEAN countries and other nations to support India's fight against terrorism.
Referring to the "gruesome cowardly" terrorist attack in Pulwama, where 40 CRPF jawans were killed, the home minister said there exists immense potential to strengthen and deepen cooperation in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, violent extremism and radicalisation through information sharing, law enforcement cooperation and capacity building and anti-money laundering and countering terror-final. Talking on the trade potential between India and the ASEAN nations Singh said more than half of India's foreign trade goes to the East. The Union Home Minister, Singh, had in his mind the fate of the UN resolution in which the US supported resolution calling for the members of the UN to declare Jaish-e-Mohammad an international terror organization
It is not for the first time that China has supported Pakistan whenever a resolution was moved for declaring Pakistan a terror based country where it provides haven to major terrorists. The Indian Home Minister called for increased people to people contact, connectivity and trade ties. This way Pakistan has lost the status of being a part of the ASEAN nations. India has already withdrawn most favoured Nation granted to Pakistan by India. And this way Isolation of Pakistan has been experienced because except for China all countries are opposed to Pakistan. Hence it may become difficult for Pakistan to save its economy and military might and the only way to allow Pakistan to sustain itself is major help from China. |
