Act tough against Pak agents, sympathizers in J&K: Harsh
3/1/2019 10:51:32 PM
Early Times Report
MAJALTA, Mar 1: Urging upon the Government of India to act tough against Pak agents and their sympathizers in the state, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and former Minister said that anti-national elements deserved no leniency and needed to be sternly dealt with under law. Hailing the raids by NIA and IT Deptts in the premises of Hurriyat leaders and JeM activists, Singh called for extending the scope of such raids so as to cover the political and other social organizations supporting or sympathizing with anti national elements. He said that the huge inflow of cash in Kashmir in the name of Jehad was not allowing the situation to get normalized and therefore necessitated strict vigil over huge hawala deals and money laundering business which flourished in the state particularly valley by leaps and bounds. He was addressing public meetings in Sail Kori Bair, Nakki and Pathwar villages of Tehsil Majalta in Ramnagar constituency today.
Pointing towards the seizure of incriminating material from the possession of Hurriyat leaders and OGWs of other terror groups including documents relating to terror funding, coded messages, Jehadi literature, property details, documents relating to financial and other monetary transactions, electronic devices, mobile phones etc, Singh said that the enquiry by NIA and CBDT should be taken to its logical conclusion. He said that concerted efforts were required to be launched to trace the illegal sources of funding which financed terror activities in the valley. He said that this would further expose Pakistan which is already under scanner of the international community for aiding, abetting and sponsoring militancy in the state of J&K.
While paying tributes to over 40 CRPF jawans martyred in Pulwama attack, Singh regretted that the security lapse of such a grave magnitude appeared to have been ignored and overlooked by the govt. "How could huge quantity of RDX and other explosives be carried to the venue of gruesome carnage despite huge security apparatus and intelligence agencies having inputs of a possible attack? And where had the explosives obtained from Pak agencies been stored despite Pulwama having been declared a military free zone by government agencies?" questioned Harsh while seeking a high level probe into the ghastly episode. He said that while Pakistan was behind the gruesome tragedy in Pulwama, its supporters and sympathizers within the state were equally liable and amenable to law for culpable homicide.
Emphasizing the need of identifying moles in administration, Singh said that political parties supporting anti-nationals were also required to be proceeded against under law.
Appealing the people to promote national unity and communal harmony, Singh said that unity in diversity was the greatest strength of our great nation which needed to be preserved at all costs.
