DSEJ misleads Commissioner Secretary
Shows Principal under order of transfer after 44 days of joining
3/1/2019 11:51:11 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 1: The Directorate of School Education Jammu has misled the office of Commissioner Secretary, by showing a Principal under order of transfer even after 44 days of her joining the institution.
The political backing of the Principal could be gauged from the fact that in the last six months, she managed four transfers/modification of government orders with an aim to return back to her choicest post of Incharge District Education Planning Officer Kathua (DEPO) from where she was transferred after a controversy with the then Chief Education Officer.
As per the joining report, which is in possession of Early Times, forwarded by the office of Principal Higher Secondary School Hirangar, Aruna Sharma had joined as Principal vide order number HSS/H/863 dated 4th of January 2019.
After 44 days of her joining as Principal Hirganagar HSS, the office of Commissioner Secretary issued an order number 70/Edu of 2019 dated 18/2/2019, according to which Aruna Sharma is at serial number 2, and shown as, "Under orders of transfer to HSS Hiranagar vide order dated 1/1/2019" and has been transferred as Incharge DEPO Kathua.
The post of DEPO Kathua appears to be the choicest place for Aruna Sharma as she was transferred from the same post some six months ago following a controversy with the then CEO Kathua Nirmal Choudhary.
"On the complaint of Aruna Sharma, CEO Kathua Nirmal Choudhary was attached by the then DC Kathua. DC had given charge of the CEO office Kathua to the complainant Aruna Sharma, who was most junior among the deserving candidates for the post of CEO", sources said.
Taking cognizance of the wrong decision of DC Kathua, the School Education department had transferred Aruna Sharma from DEPO to HOD DIET Samba.
"Aruna Sharma didn't join the office of DIET Samba and took leave for few months and got her transfer order modified by virtue of which she got new place of posting as Principal Higher Secondary School Hiranagar", sources said.
However, she joined the office of Principal HSS Hiranagar on 4/1/2019 but having strong political influence, she managed to return back as DEPO Kathua by hoodwinking the office of Commissioner Secretary with active connivance of the officials as the Directorate of School Education Jammu.
"It is a very serious matter, which shows the misdeeds of officials concerned, who leave no stone unturned even to hoodwink higher officials. It only reflects the sorry state of affairs in government departments as how an official could be shown under transfer after 44 days of her joining under Governor rule", sources said, adding that a thorough probe must be ordered by Governor office to expose the officials responsible for such gross misconduct.
Special Secretary of School Education Mohammad Hussain Mir said that Director School Education Jammu could reply over the matter as the lists have been forwarded by them and they were responsible.
Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta didn't pick up her phone despite repeated calls.
