Tawi Trekkers J&K releases calendar 2019 of activities

Jammu, Mar 1: Tawi Trekkers J&K Travel Trekkers L&K, the biggest trekking club of J&K, released its activities for the year 2019 today at K L Saleal Hall, Abhinav Theatre.
Patron of Travel Trekkers J&K Ashwani Sharma, former MLA released the Calendar of activities along with Dr. Naseem Javaid Choudhary , Secretary J&K State Sports Council Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Chief Executive Officer, Surinsar- Mansar Development Ansuya Jamwal, Deputy Director Tourism, Jammu; Prof. Lalit Magotra.", President Dogri Sanstha , an eminent scientist, a writer and Advisor of Tavel Trekkers J&K, and Chairman Team Jammu Prem Sadotra, General Secretary JK High Court Bar Association, Jammu Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, JK State Officer, JK State Sports Council.
Highlighting the activities to be undertaken by the club this year President of the club Ram Khajuria mentioned that this year the club will organize only Trekking in Dharamshala area of Himachal Pradesh for about 500 school children during summer vacations.
He further informed that three trekking expeditions In Dhauladhar Range in Himachal Pradesh, including one to Triund (10000ft) for junior members and an expedition to Minkiani Pass (1,1000ft) for senior members and a trek from Dalhousie to Chamba exclusively for senior citizens. Besides, a Heritage Trekking Programme in Kangra area of Himachal Pradesh shall also be organized for about 200 students during the months of October to December, 2019.
He said that another challenging adventure of the club is an ambitious mountaineering expedition to Mt. Elbrus, the highest peak of Europe In Russia. The club plans to send a small team of two to three climbers to this peak during June this year.
He added that besides, the club will also organize a small, low budget mountaineering expedition to Mun peak in Dhauladhar range of Dharamshala. And to spot the talent in sport climbing at the grass root level and to groom it for future competition the club has ambitious plan for conducting year.
Ram Khajuria further said that long coaching camps and monthly competition for sport climbers including physically and visually challenged ones which, in fact, have already started at sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu. including corn_ emions the ciub has an am moos Plan .9 conducting Year long coaching camps and monthly mu", for sport climbers including physically and visually challenged ones which, in fact, have already started at Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu.
