Jammu, Mar 5: Various Sikh bodies of Jammu and Kashmir today demanded immediate removal of Jathedar Iqbal Singh of Takhat Sri Patna Sahib in wake of serious allegation levelled against him by his second wife and entire Sikh Sangat of Patna Sahib.
Sikh bodies including Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), International Sikh Federation, Sikh Students Federation, Sikh Intellectuals Circle J&K,Ssikhs Future in J&K, Sikh Youths of J&K, J&K Sikh Progressive Front unanimously demanded removal of Jathedar Iqbal Singh of Takhat Sri Patna Sahib All the heads of Sikh Bodies in one voice have appealed Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and board of members to immediately remove him as Jathedar and he should be excommunicated from Panth in view of Shameful allegations levelled by his second wife Baljeet Kour of Jammu and entire Sikh Panth and a, leniency at this juncture will deeply harm the image of Khalsa Panth and the credibility of all other Jathedars and our glorious institutions. One of the member added that entire Sikh Sangat of Akali Kour Singh Nagar and Sikh Sangat of Jammu is witness to the fact that his second marriage was solemnized in Gurdwara Sahib of Akali Kour Singh Nagar Jammu with said Bibi Baljeet Kour daughter of late Pritpal Singh of Akali Kour Singh Nagar, but unfortunately this controversial Jathedar is misleading the entire Sikh community about this marriage and the most alarming thing for entire Khalsa Panth is deep connection and patronage of various Anti Sikh forces who are hell bend upon to weaken the Sikh institutions and separate entity of Khalsa Panth.
He added that we the Sikhs of J&K have decided to totally Boycott this controversial Jathedar and we appeal entire Khalsa Panth to voice their concern and lodge their strong protest against Jathedar lqbal Singh of Patna Sahib, and we fell that a high level probe committee should be immediately formed.
