| Health centres along LoC run in rented accommodation | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Mar 12: Health sub centres situated along Line of control in the district are said to be running in rented accommodation and lack of residential quarters to health staff hampers the health care during border skirmishes sources said here today.
Sources said the need of hour was to provide Health centres their own buildings which could make the work of the staff smooth and hassle free to provide uninterrupted health services to the affected people during indiscriminate firing and shelling from across the border in which dozens of border people sustain injuries and in some cases deaths cause also they added.
If there could be residential quarters for medical staff of these health centres in near by vicinity then the Causalities which cause due to prevailing border skirmishes could be reduced to a large extent told locals to Early Times , adding due to non presence of medical staff people face many difficulties because during nights health centres remain closed as staff does not have the required space to stay there nor they have any residential accommodation provided by the department in near by vicinity which could prove beneficial for the affected people . especially living near the fence , they added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Balakote and Mankote sectors besides Gulpur, Krishna Ghati and Mandi sectors were very close to LoC in Poonch and Vulnerable to border skirmishes off and on where people witness casualities due to indiscriminate firing and shelling by Pakistan army across the border every day in and day out. |
