Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Mar 29: Already facing trust deficit among the people, Kishtwar police today stooped to another low by flattening the tyres of the vehicles parked on road side including those of revenue officials and decamped with their vital components.
As per the details available ET, Kishtwar police in order to harass the common people has become habitual of going bizarre against the masses by damaging the vehicles parked on road side from Bus Stand to ITI ground. The angry people term the action of Kishtwar Police as an attempt to throw the people in tizzy to satisfy their personal ego instead of performing their duties towards addressing the genuine issue of public importance.
Meanwhile All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association Kishtwar today threatened to launch state wide agitation in case the police did not stop damaging the personal vehicles of revenue officials who parked their vehicles outside Tehsil office complex Kishtwar.
The association in a letter addressed to Tehsildar Kishtwar stated that the Police were damaging their vehicles parked outside the Tehsil Office complex. They added that all the vehicles were parked in a manner that they did not cause traffic jams.
They said that they cannot afford to park their vehicles around one kilometer away from the Tehsil office complex as they required to attend emergency meetings as well as calls pertaining to elections and termed the action of Kishtwar police as unwarranted and uncalled for.
They called upon the Tehsildar Kishtwar to initiate action against the erring police officials involved in damaging the personal vehicles of the revenue officials working in Tehsil Office complex Kishtwar failing which they will be left with no other option other than to launch an agitation in this regard.
