Ram Nagar schools lack buildings, infrastructure

Udhampur, Apr 6: Though the government has ordered that every school run by the government should have separate toilets for boys and girls along with facility of clean drinking water, a proper building of school , proper furniture nut the schools in Ram Nagar area of Udhamur district lavk all these facilities.
Pertinently by 31 March 2019, CEO Udhampur was supposed to make all the toilets functional and funding patterns of these toilets was already provided in circular no 3 in edu of 2019 dated 21/2/2019.
The CEO Udhampur / zeo had to monitor and ensure that no school was without toilet.
The non-availibility of toilets had resulted in increase kn drop out cases.
Similarly, many schools have no proper facility for drinking water. Narinder Singh, a villager on Basantgarh said that many girls in his village have stopped going to schools as there is no separate toilet for them. He said that the government should do something in this regard. Similarly many more people opined that the authorities concerned should provide proper facilities in schools. The locals have urged the authorities to look into the matter.
