Early Times Report

KISHTWAR, Apr 6: On the auspicious occasion of first Navratra, Senior Congress leader and party candidate from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Parliamentary Constituency Vikramaditya Singh paid obeisance at Mata Sarthal Devi Mandir here and prayed for universal brotherhood, peace and prosperity in the State of Jammu and Kashmir besides well being of the people.
Extending Navratri greetings to the devotees present at the temple and people of the State, Vikramaditya hoped that these Navratras will usher new era of peace, progress and tranquility in the State. A staunch devotee of Mata Sarthal Devi, Vikramaditya Singh said that spirit of selflessness and righteousness which is corner-stone of all religions is the need of the time and everyone in the State should follow the glorious ethos of J&K by keeping the flag of harmony and amity aloft.
Asserting that pluralistic-ethos is the part and parcel of J&K's rich legacy, Vikramaditya Singh urged the people to ensure that this virtue of State is maintained at all costs. He complimented the people for upholding the rich traditions of peace even during most turbulent times by maintaining the spirit of bonhomie and camaraderie despite attempts made by forces inimical to peace for fragmenting the society. In a very tender manner, he asked the communal forces to shun disruptive tendencies and help people to lead a dignified life, based on love, amity and brotherhood, which is the true spirit of Jammu and Kashmir's pluralistic ethos.
