15th J&K State Wushu C'ship commences

Jammu, Apr 24: 15 J&K State Wushu championship commenced today at Gymnasium Hall Jammu University. The championship will be held from 24th to 26th April 2019.Approximately 800 Participants from 18 Districts excluding SAI and J&K Police are taking part in the championship. The event is for Under 14 and 17 and Senior Boys and Girls. The Championship is being organized in collaboration with Directorate of Physicial education Jammu University sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council. Earlier the Wushu Association of J&K conducted the 18 District championships in both the province in a daunting task. The closing ceremony of the championship will be held on 26th April at Jammu University at 5.30 PM. The championship was inaugurated by Dr. DAWOOD IQBAL BABA Director of Sports and Physical Education Jammu University.
He wished in the forthcoming 15th World Wushu championship at Shanghai. Today Sub- Junior Boys and Girls fought for their Yellow petal. The todays resuilt are as under:-
The Director Physical Education Dawood was guest of honor on the occasion; Vijay Saraf (President) presented the Welcome address on the occasion and briefed the guests and media about the current achievements of the Wushu Association of J&K at International and National level and he extended his thanks to director Physical Education Dawood Sahab for the support and also J&K State Sports for their Immense support for this combat sports, He congratulated Kuldeep Handoo (National Chief Coach of India) and Surya Bhanu Partap Singh for their outstanding performance in the Asian Games. He also congratulated Rajinder Singh for winning medal in the World Cup at Hunagzhou. The other members present during the function were, Ajay Paul Gill, Maqsood Rather, Jabeena AKhter, Mudasir, Charan Singh , Yash pal, Rajinder Singh , Surya Bhanu Partap Singh Abhishek Jamwal, Aman and District secretaries of all 18 Districts.
