Early Times Report

Poonch, Apr 26: Post of Executive Engineer PMGSY department Mendhar has been lying vacant for the last three months as administration failed to send the incumbent officer following the transfer of former, sources said here today. They said three months ago XEn PMGSY department was transferred but till date arrangement of filling the vacant post has not been made, hampering the routine work of the department in which public in general and contractors and other people involved in process of development of construction of rural roads in particular face the problem. While talking to prominent citizens of the town, Early Times learnt that pace of macadamization of roads has reduced to very slow speed due to non availability of officer which has hampered the work of entire sub division ,they said, adding people too have to run from pillar to post for one work or the other especially the contractor community who need the endorsement of works executed by them in the area. Meanwhile Mendhar Youth club Chairman Advocate Nadeem Rafiq has urged the Governor of the state to direct the concerned authorities to send officer of the executive line to sub division Mendhar on priority as the development works in the area were going on at snails pace, he added.
