Has SMC plunged into absolute perturbation?
The infamous Deputy Mayor does it again, after doctors, contractors receive his unnatural barbs

Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: There are serious concerns mounting over the way in which Srinagar's infamous deputy mayor is functioning as people accuse him of ridiculing and harassing professionals in a bid to seek personal favours.
On social media even, this deputy mayor of state's summer capital, has become a laughing stock and at the same time is accused of downgrading and downsizing the seedy looking commoners.
On Friday, it was the turn of contractors who were given left, right and centre by the deputy mayor Sheikh Imran without any reason. The protests erupted soon after the jibes were casted by him against the contractors who simply were asking for the disbursement of the payments against the works they have done for the SMC. Seemingly there was nothing wrong in such a demand. However, the deputy mayor has own perception for looking at the things.
"We demand release of work done payments and Mr Imran should apologize to contractors publically as we are tax payers and we are not bank defaulters, whatever money we have is all white. We are on strike from last four days as SMC is failing to release our work done payments," said the aggrieved contractors.
They added that they have boycotted all developmental works and are planning for dharna outside the residence of Deputy Mayor, till payments are not released and action isn't taken against the Deputy Mayor "We will knock the doors of Court if our demands are not met," they added.
It is ironic meanwhile that what is stopping the governor administration to act against such a light headed person masquerading as a saner voice in state's political landscape?
He is the one who in open transgressed his limits and ridiculed doctors on duty in one of the hospitals run Srinagar.
Furthermore, his inefficiency got exposed to the core when on January 28, a simple official communication as per the routine was made by the Under Secretary with Chief Secretary to the Principal Secretary home department and asked him to examine and take appropriate action in the matter related to the application submitted by Sheikh Imran to ban PUBG in the state. This official communication was mistook as a ban order by many people including the Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran. While trying to grab the opportunity to steal lime light hurriedly drafted a press statement and claimed credit for the same.
The press statement had the headline: "After Deputy Mayor Intervention, PUBG banned in J&K." The statement had quoted the deputy mayor in the punchline as having said 'Our youth are our future and will not allow such things in our society which would affect their mental health.'
On December 28, last year, posing as an expert on Kashmir affairs, the deputy mayor was seen sitting at ease on a sofa and sermoning the delegates about what should be done to resolve the 'entangled' Kashmir issue. While talking about the student exchange program, he says in the video that if a student from Kashmir goes to any other state within the country, he should not be ridiculed for saying Hindustan Murdabad. "Have a big heart and don't get annoyed. What would happen even if a Kashmir youth chants Hindustan Murdabad. If we bear the insult of showing our identity card to a solider hailing from Tamil Nadu, what is wrong if our youth chants anti-India slogan," says the deputy mayor in the video clip.
He even admitted that people in Kashmir don't vote and that elections wouldn't in any way resolve the Kashmir issue.
