Preaching 'protests' to others, Shabir Shah sends daughter to England
4/27/2019 12:06:06 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: Even as the separatist leaders often tell the youth of Kashmir to "fight for Kashmir cause though guns and stones", their own kids study abroad.
In the latest, the jailed separatist leader Shabir Shah's daughter is studying in England, where is she pursuing Bachelors program in Law.
The development came to fore only when the National Investigation Agency summoned her for questioning to New Delhi.
In response, the family said she couldn't appear for questioning as she was studying abroad. Till now no one was knowing that she was studying in Europe when these separatists keep telling Kashmiri youth to fight for "Kashmir cause."
Sources said Shabir Shah's daughter is studying law at a prominent college inEngland and that she had got her admission done on payment basis.
Sources said the college charges around Rs 15 lakh per semester which means that she will have to spend over Rs one crore on the course alone apart from expenditure on boarding and lodging.
"She has not bagged any scholarship but is doing it on payment," the sources said.
Officials said from where the family has managed so much of money when they claim to have no source of livelihood other than the salary of Shabir Shah's wife who is a government servant.
"From where can a government servant manage to get so much of money that he or she can send their wards to costliest colleges aboard? They are making fool of people," asked a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
Shabir Shah's daughter is pursuing "costly education" abroad when separatists often tell people of Kashmir not to send their "daughters outside alone."
"Everything they preach in the name of Kashmir is only for the poor youth who get exploited. As for their own families these leaders are very modern and moneyed," said a observer.
"Auron Ko Nasihat, Khud Mian Fasihath," he added.
