AAP leader seeks probe in accidents in Chenab Valley

Doda, Apr 26: Aam Aadmi Party in-charge District Doda, Meharaj Malik has urged Governor Satya Malik to look into the rising accidents cases in Chenab Valley and take stern action against concerned authorities. While expressing grief over the mini-bus accident on 24-4-19 at Piyakul in between Thathri & Kahara on Thathri- Gandoh road in District Doda, in which 5 persons lost their lives & 11 other were injured, Malik has appealed to the Governor administration to immediately release Rs.5 lakh as ex-gratia relief in favour of kins of poor deceased & 1 lakh to the injured persons. Malik also expressed concerned over the increasing road accidents in Chenab Valley due to overloading of the vehicles and the bad conditions of the roads in rural areas of entire Chenab Valley. He appealed to the Governor to look seriously into all irregularities which are leading to road accidents & take stern action against defaulters. All outdated vehicles should be immediately banned from plying on the roads and traffic sleuths should be directed to not compromise with the drivers regarding overloading.
