NAAC Peer Team visits GDC Basohli

KATHUA, Apr 29: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer team conducted assessment of first cycle of accreditation for Government Degree College (GDC) Basohli.
NAAC peer team comprised of Dr. K. P. Yadav Vice Chancellor Sangam University Bhilwara, Rajasthan as Chairman, Dr. Ketan Upadhyay Professor, The Maharaja Sayajirao University Baroda. Gujarat as Member Coordinator and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Debnath Principal, Cooch Behar College, West Bengal as Member visited the college on 26 and 27 April, 2019 for 1st Cycle of NAAC Accreditation of the college.
After the formal welcome by the students, staff and Principal of the college the 1st day visit of Peer team started with interaction with the Principal of the college, Prof. Ranjeet Singh Jamwal in his office Chamber where he gave a power point presentation explaining in detail about the college, followed by series of interaction with Coordinator IQAC Dr. Papinder Bhagat, HoDs of all departments non-teaching staff, students, parents, advisory committee, alumin's and all other stake holders of the college in the smart room of the college. For document verification and on spot assessment, the team visited all laboratories, Girls common room and the class rooms. The peer team had a lunch on meeting with representative of Higher Education Department and University of Jammu Prof.(Dr) Vivak Gupta Department of Physics.
The chairperson Dr. K. P. Yadav addressed the faculty members and appreciated the efforts of Principal and staff of the institution coming upto the expectations of NAAC. He advised valuable measures to be adopted by the institution for providing qualitative learning and teaching. Finally the Chairperson Dr. K. P. Yadav along with peer team handed over the Peer Team Report to Principal Prof. Ranjeet Singh Jamwal.
