| Awareness programme on Solid Waste Management organized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 29: JMC in collaboration with Director School Education, Jammu organized a Solid Waste Management programme at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Satwari.
Students/Staff of the school were told by Master Jorawar Singh to reduce the wastage in inorganic material and to prepare compost from the organic waste of living organism. The students were taught practically in the School to prepare compost from the organic waste of their homes.
The 4th class employees of the school were told not to burn the garbage otherwise they may be fined to NGT (National Green Tribunal) and Health team of JMC. It is common message for all that no one can burn any type of domestic /school garbage. A container containing Poras will be installed in the school to collect organic waste. The banner were installed by Ved Pal Sharma and Ashwani Sharma in the school to make the programme attractive. Another programme with the help of local people of Ashok Nagar was held in the Pandit Mohalla. The people were pleased to tell that they are getting each and every facility in their locality.
