4/30/2019 3:57:54 PM

Udhampur. 30 Apr: Reiterating the demand to decrease toll tax rates at Ban toll plaza, Former MLA & NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia said that Panthers Party is deeply concerned with this issue & continuously batted strongly to revise the rates of toll tax. In this concern NPP also staged One day dharna recently on 26 April outside Deputy Commissioner Office Udhampur & apprised him about the anger of common masses in this regard, he added

While addressing a Press conference at Udhampur, NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia informed that he has send memorandum to Project Director NHAI Jammu & on tomorrow NPP delegation will also meet with him in his office at Jammu in this regard.

Expressing deep anguish, Mankotia said that gradually increasing of the rates every year is pinching the pocket of common man which is now increased to Rs 200 (Both sides) & Rs 135 (Single Sides), ban toll plaza become the highest charging toll plaza in the whole country as per length in kilo meter, Where as the commutters from Udhampur, Reasi & Katra are not even using the full stretch of Highway but they are forced to pay full charges, Mankotia added

Mankotia said that paying hefty amount for such distance is big burden for common man which needs immediate intervention of Authorities.

Mankotia warns huge agitation if the issue will not be addressed soon, "We will left with no option to launch an agitation in support of our genuine demand till its redressal & responsibility would lies on Authority as well as on Government " he said

Panch Kuldeep Singh & Panch Jia Lal were also present during the press conference.
