| Ex-MLA's PSOs thrash people | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 30: In the much publicized public brawl between former MLA RS Pura and a woman Sarpanch of Jindar Maeloo village on April 28, the role of muscle flexing by Personal Security Officers (PSOs) of the former legislator has once again brought out the ugly face of the men in khaki.
A video of the scuffle went viral on social media wherein the PSOs of the former legislator could be seen thrashing indiscriminately whosoever come in their way.
In the purported video, it is clearly visible that the ex-MLA Dr Gagan Bhagat and his PSOs are mercilessly beating some people who are said to be supporters of Sarpanch Jindar Maeloo, Seema Devi.
It is being said that the video was shot by somebody in village Raipur Sajda two days ago when a scuffle broke out between the ex-MLA and the Sarpanch during inauguration of an electric transformer.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the police registered counter FIRs against ex-MLA Dr Bhagat and Sarpanch Seema Devi after they entered into an altercation.
According to sources, a programme was organized for the installation of a power transformer, but an altercation took place between Dr Bhagat and Seema Devi, which later turned into minor scuffle. In the scuffle, both of them received minor injuries.
After getting information, police team led by SHO RS Pura rushed to the spot and tried to pacify both the public representatives.
Dr Bhagat claimed that he got the transformer sanctioned out of his Constituency Development Funds (CDF) while Sarpanch Seema Devi claimed that she arranged the transformer on her own.
Later, on the written complaints of Dr Bhagat and Seema Devi, counter FIRs under relevant sections were registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation was taken up; however, no action has been initiated against either the duo so far. |
