| DC Kathua reviews arrangements Shri Amarnathji Yatra | | | KATHUA, MAY 01: District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of district officers and civil society members to review arrangements for smooth conduct of this year’s Shri Amarnath Yatra.
Threadbare discussion was held regarding various arrangements for the yatra including accommodation, healthcare, security, traffic arrangements, water, power, food, hygiene and sanitation etc.
The meeting was informed that suitable sites would be identified in the district for lodging of yatris with all necessary facilities in case of Yatra halt.
The DC said that a Co-ordination Committee will be constituted comprising Officers and members of civil society for smooth and peaceful conduct of Amarnath Ji Yatra besides coordinate for maintaining hygienic condition and cleanliness at Langar and accommodation sites.
It was decided that a control room would be established to synchronize efforts for providing all basic services to the pilgrims besides deployment of medical teams at Lakhanpur and langar sites and establishment of facilitation center for convenience of yatris. |
