RAMBAN, May 6: District Development Commissioner (DDC) , Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of religious and different business organizations to review and finalize arrangements for ensuing holy month of Ramadan. SSP, Ramban, Anita Sharma, ACR, Harbans Lal Sharma, Xen PHE, Bashir Ahmed, AD, FCS&CA, President Beopar Mandal, Bushan Lal Gupta, various other officers besides representatives of religious and business organisation were present in the meeting. After deliberation and market survey conducted by committee led by AD, FCS&CA, DDC also approved the rates of fresh items including Chicken, Mutton, Milk, Curd, Cheese, Egg, live sheep and goat etc. Responding to the issues highlighted by the representatives of organizations sought uninterrupted water and power supply, security arrangements, better sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essential commodities. The DDC instructed Executive Officers of Municipal Committee to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the town especially around religious spots besides ensuring installation of street lights near Mosques. He directed he officers of PDD, PHE, Health and other departments to provide quality service to public especially in holy month Ramadan. He appealed to the public in case of any emergency call on PHE's control room number, 01996266287 in office hours and PDD was directed to establish a similar control room in their office. |
