BJP cadres flay Govt for failure to protect cadres
Leaders ready to surrender security in protest

JAMMU, May 6: With killing of BJP leader in Nowgam area of Dooru Assembly Segment of Anantnag district two days ago there is grave resentment among party cadres against government for its failure to safeguard the lives of party cadres in South Kashmir. With killing of Mir in Nowgam, the number of BJP leaders gunned down by terrorists in South Kashmir over last one year besides has gone up to three.
Earlier a Panch in Pampore was killed last April after he took part in democratic process and turned down the dictates of Separatist who had given the boycott call which was supported by mainstream parties National Conference and People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Sources said the Panch who had attended a traing camp for Panch in March last year and later he was killed on April 3.
Sources said there is such resentment among party cadres that seniors leaders are under pressure to give up their security cover till the party cadres working under vulnerable situation in Kashmir are not declared as protected persons.
Sources said one of the senior party leaders has also warned to surrender his security cover incase his demand of providing security to other leaders is not conceded.
BJP cadres as per sources have presurrised senior leadership that when partymen are not safe in BJP rule how the common man of Valley could be.
Sources said party cadres are totally feeling demoralised in Kashmir Valley since the killing of it's three leaders one each in Shopian, Pulwama and Anantnag districts.
The party leaders said how can they launch campaign against the anti national elements and terrorists when their own lives are insecure.
Sources said some activists are even thinking to leave the party under prevailing circumstances.
This has even perturbed the senior leadership but sources said the authorities at the helm of affairs are not listening to State leadership as they enjoy confidence of Central leadership of the party hence they don't bother to listen to State leadership.
