Jammu, June 5: Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) J&K Jammu greeted Amit Shah BJP National President and new Home Minister GOI. The members said that on assuming his assignment of Home Ministry he has taken a keen interest for solving the Kashmir problem.
They appreciated his capacity and ability in sorting out the regional imbalance which has always favoured the Kashmir based political parties to maintain the supremacy.
This arrangements of assembly segments have made the valley centric political circles to decide the faith of J&K since last seventy years and have deceived the people of Jammu & Ladakh.
Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) is of the opinion that the initiative of new Home Minister of constitution of delimitation commission is a bold step and new delimitation will enable to remove the regional imbalances for which Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has been raising voice since long.
The Pokj refugees who after migration from POK setteled in this part of state, have never been provided the opportunity to elect their representative to state assembly.
As 25 assembly seats of PoK have been freezed and in early 90's NC Govt. defreeze only one assembly seat for Mehandar in Poonch Distt. Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has made various representations to state & central Govt. to defreeze at least 8 assembly seats out of 24 seats freeze for POK, in proportionate to the population migrated in 1947 to this part of state. |
