NYK organizes block Neighbourhood Youth parliament programme

Kathua, June 14: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India is organizing Block Neighbourhood Youth parliament programme for rural youth throughout the country to educate, aware and sensitize youth and ensure their participation in flagship programmes of Govt. of India and Promotion of Yoga practices in masses.
In this connection, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua has organized Block Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament as preparatory for celebration of 5th International Day of Yoga at Gailband, Panchayat Devochack, Block Mahreen in which 120 participants both male and female participated.
Kamlesh Sharma, Yog Instructor, Patanjali Yog Kathua as Yog Guru delivered lecture on Yog for sound health, peace of mind and happy life. She also demonstrates some important Yog exercises for prevention and cure of various ailments. Yog Guru also provided yog therapy to various participants for chronicle diseases. Som Datt Zard, DYC, delivered lecture on various social issues, like self-employment, skill development, Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachaio-Beti Padio and importance of yog for young generation for success in life.
Ashwani Kumar, In-charge Police Post Mahreen also delivered lecture on Drugs control through alertness of Youth, Public & Police. He stressed that each parents should take care of his/her children and be friendly so that children share their stress and problems to avoid the use of drugs. Panchayat should vigilant so that outsider could not provide drugs in their area. Dr. Amit Sharma, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI delivered lecture on training, counselling, finance and subsidy being provided to educated unemployed youth for setting up of their entrepreneur. Surjeet Kumar, Career Counselling officer, Employment office delivered lecture on various skill development trainings, self-employment programmes, PM sharam Yogi Maandan Yojana etc. Nirmala Kanta Sarpanch, Panches, Sashi Kumar, Reena Youth Leaders, Geeta, Alish, Kushal Kumar National Youth volunteers participated.
