Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 14: Senior BJP leader and party's District Vice-President in Kishtwar Vijay Parihar resigned from the party post as well as from the basic membership of the party on Friday after being allegedly "humiliated" by the newly appointed district president.
Vijay Parihar, who is considered as dedicated grass root worker of BJP from the Jan Sangh period, said that due to the growing indiscipline in party and ignorance of senior leaders in party, he has resigned from post and basic membership of the party. He without naming party District President also added that some leaders who have come from Congress are playing politics for their personal interests and is ignoring the senior leaders of party.
He said that this is the true that leaders of Inderwal were humiliated in party office by District President and were asked to vacate his office.
Parihar who is also considered close aide of former PDD Minister Sunil Sharma also targeted him and said that he (Sunil Sharma) is shielding these leaders by not taking any action against them for the growing indiscipline.
Parihar said that many people in Jammu and Kashmir have worked for the party when militancy was at its peak only with the aim to serve the nation, but now a days these leaders are being ignored by the party and the leadership of Kishtwar.
It is pertinent to mention that in a shameful act of disgrace and humiliation that today as per sources took place in BJP District office wherein a scuffle was witnessed between District President of BJP Pardeep Parihar and Senior Leaders of Inderwal Constituency including state Executive members who reportedly were part of delegation of senior BJP Leaders that had approached Party Office at Kishtwar to highlight and discuss the Party matters.
When the senior BJP leaders are waiting for party President, at that time District President as well as contested Candidate of Inderwal Constituency Tariq Hussain Keen were together in the field in Thakrie area added that as and when Pardeep Parihar entered the office; he had heated arguments with the Inderwal Delegation and a scuffle was also reported as per the party sources and the senior leaders from Inderwal alleged that Tariq Keen has lost its ground completely in the area and got totally himself involved in anti-party activities.
"Pardeep Parihar didn't pay any heed to the suggestions of the senior leaders and turned violent to thrash the leaders and threatened them of dire consequences" said the angry party leaders after being humiliated, BJP leaders from Inderwal left the office in anguish and were supposed to convey the whole story to higher ups in the party.
It is in place to mention here that the new BJP District President has spent his whole life in Congress and has even contested elections on Congress ticket.
The angry party leaders also questioned the silence of the ex- Minister from the area Sunil Sharma over the issue.
